THE JOB

- Assist in the production of financial reports for management, as well as ad hoc reporting and special projects.

- Report production requires cooperation and input from various teams both within and outside of Finance, hence requiring careful coordination and planning. This includes report schedule management, the prioritization of multiple tasks into manageable components, and producing and managing follow-up lists summarizing actions, deadlines, persons assigned, and their status.

- Participate in review sessions held with senior management for each major report, taking minutes and tracking proposed changes to reports during the meetings, and then completing updates accordingly.

- Prepare monthly and quarterly metrics for reporting to the Asia office. This is a constantly evolving process, and so requires a strong understanding of the business and change management skills.

REQUIREMENTS

- Work Experience 5+ years of management reporting, business / product analysis, accountancy, auditing and/or consultancy experience (insurance industry knowledge a plus)

- Understanding of US and Japanese GAAP accounting & regulatory reporting standards

- Strong technical, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills 

- Prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks & challenges under tight time frames

- Responsible, self-motivated and assumes full accountability for actions 

- Highly motivated team player
