Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - To manage and oversee Safety, Occupational Health & Environment aspects in Warehouse and Logistics areas. - To ensure safety in operations such as forklift, material handling, loading & unloading, racking, and transportation. - To conduct job risk assessment (JSA) and determine measures to prevent accidents. - To analyze and investigate accidents, including near misses, and determine corrective and preventive actions. - To inspect warehouse safety standards, including walkways, storage areas, stacking, racking, and loading bay areas. - To establish and monitor traffic management measures for forklift trucks and personnel within the area. - To ensure the safety of contractors, subcontractors, and logistics service providers. - To develop and monitor Safety KPIs, Safety Audits, and Safety Improvement Plans. - To plan Emergency Response, Fire Prevention, and conduct emergency drills. - To conduct training and activities to build safety awareness and safety culture for employees and contractors. - To coordinate with Warehouse, Logistics, Transport, Operations departments and other relevant departments. - Other tasks as assigned by the Management.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience > - At least 8 years of experience in Safety Officer within Manufacturing, Warehouses, Logistics, and Distribution Centers - At least 3 years of experience at the Assistant Manager or Manager Level - Conversational High Level in English (Communicate with Japanese Management, reports, emails, and documents) <In Detail> - Knowledge of Forklift Safety, Warehouse Safety, Transportation Safety, and Material Handling - Knowledge of safety, occupational health laws, and related regulations - Skills in Risk Assessment, Accident Investigation, Safety Audit, and Emergency Response <Preferable Skill / Experience> - Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field - Experience in a Japanese company - Experience in warehouse and logistics within automotive/parts distribution industry will be given special consideration
