Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Provide strategic leadership for the R&D Center, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and industry trends - Lead and manage a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, and technical specialists - Develop and execute the R&D roadmap covering new product development, process improvement, and technological innovation - Collaborate with Sales, Production, QA, and Marketing to translate market needs and customer requirements into R&D initiatives - Oversee R&D budgets, resources, and project timelines to ensure effective and efficient execution - Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation, learning, and knowledge sharing - Analyze competitor technologies, products, and market movements to maintain competitive advantage - Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements - Build strategic partnerships with suppliers, research institutes, and external technology partners - Report R&D progress, risks, and milestones to top management regularly
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience> - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or related field) - At least 10 years of experience as an R&D in the automotive industry - Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role with subordinates - Strong leadership background in R&D with hands-on expertise in CAD, CAM - Demonstrated success managing R&D projects from concept through commercialization - Conversational High level of English (Internal and Clients) <Preferable Skill / Experience> - Master’s or PhD Degree preferred - Conversational High level of Japanese (Clients, Internal) - Experience in leading large-scale organizations with multi-plant operations
