<Number of employees: Total: 10 Local: 8 Japanese: 2> <Report Line: JP MD, JP Manager> <Team Member: 2-3 in design team > <Number of Subordinates: 1 staff > <Customers & Products> The company is a Japanese manufacturer producing precision press parts for automobiles. <Saturday Working: Every Saturday> <Position Objective/Expectation> To design progressive press dies and oversee their development from engineering through machining, assembly, trial, and mass production launch. * Design of small press parts (approximately 1 mm in size, palm-sized products) using **progressive die stamping**. * Design of **film-forming dies** and other dies manufactured and sold to customers. * Design and machining of die components and tooling parts used in those dies. <Job Responsibilities> - Process design and detailed design of progressive press dies. - Specification review and design of dies considering product shape, material, and production conditions. - Technical follow-up during die machining, assembly, and trial production stages. - Troubleshooting and implementation of countermeasures during mass production launch. - Die modification, improvement of die life, and cost reduction activities. - Technical coordination with on-site press and die shop personnel.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience> - Must have practical experience in progressive press die design (approximately 3+ years). - Must have fundamental knowledge of press processing and die structure. - Must be able to collaborate with on-site teams (machining, assembly, press shop) to advance work. <Preferable Skill/ Experience> - Experience in Die, jig, and component manufacturing for conventional automotive and OA-related press parts/Precision die manufacturing for micro-processing applications, such as punching holes in films. - Experience in production launch and mass production troubleshooting. - Experience working with overseas factories or multicultural/multinational teams. - Achievements in die life improvement or process consolidation.
