Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Responsible for operations and customer service in ocean freight. - Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports. - Identify and resolve personnel issues. - Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to staff to develop their skills to the highest level. - Conduct market analysis and provide statistics for the country’s ocean freight activities. - Collaborate with the sales team on customer maintenance and implementation. - Provide support to product operations regarding market conditions and rate levels. - Ensure the quality and performance of billing and job costing in ocean freight operations. - Ensure compliance with rules and policies. - Minimize risks by ensuring proper buying rates to maintain gross profit coverage. - Other duties assigned.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience > - Bachelor’s Degree in any - At least 5 years of experience in the Sea or Ocean Freight Forwarding business. - At least 2 years of experience as a Manager with subordinates - Strong knowledge and experience in Sea freight customer service & operations, including both import and export. - Have knowledge of Harmonized codes and tariff tax, customs rules, customs formalities process & customs specialist license preferred - Experience in successfully communicating with international vendors and partners. -Conversational high level of English to communicate with overseas clients and the management team - Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. <In detail> - Highly motivated leader, adept at working in a competitive, challenging, and fast-paced environment. - Problem Solving & Decision Making. <Preferable Skill / Experience> - Japanese language proficiency is an advantage. - 2 years of experience at the Manager level
