Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Oversee and manage ocean freight operations (FCL*Full Container Load / LCL*Less than Container Load) - Negotiate directly with shipping lines on rates, space allocation, and contracts - Prepare quotations, pricing strategies, and manage profitability - Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and support business development - Handle shipment issues, delays, and customer inquiries professionally - Manage B/L issuance and ensure compliance with shipping regulations - Coordinate closely with internal teams (Sales, Customs Clearance, Warehouse, Operations) - Lead and supervise team members and daily operations - Drive operational improvements and efficiency initiatives - Other duties assigned
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience > - Bachelor's degree in any related field - Work experience in NVOCC, Ocean Freight Forwarding, or Shipping Line operations - At least 5 years of experience in a role involving direct communication and negotiation with shipping lines - Strong knowledge of international logistics and ocean freight operations - Good coordination and stakeholder management skills - Experience in team supervision or operational management - Conversational middle to high level of English to communicate with internal and with all concerns < Preferable > - Team management experience at the Supervisor or Manager level - Experience in freight rate negotiation and space management - Profitability or P/L management experience in ocean freight - Business-level English communication skills - Experience working in a Japanese logistics or forwarding company
