Import Officer (Consumer Goods) (18K-29K) <Job Responsibilities> > Shipment plan • Works closely with import buyer to review and finalize yearly plan. • Corporates with the warehouse and freight forwarder to follow the shipping plan. > New Items • Verifies the import tax, HS code, and regulations. • Verifies if a new product has been authorized and ensures that the items are registered with the FDA (SorBor.7). • Verifies the appropriate documents that are used for customs clearance. > Import process • Responsible for all import shipments (Japan, Australia, Vietnam). • Perform a range of activities to facilitate the timely and accurate import and shipment of products, stickers, and documents. • Checks which items comply with Phyto, JTEPA, FORM-D, and AANZ. • Checks draft INV, PL, SI, C/O, H/C, M/P, JTEPA, AANZ, FORM-D. • Attention to detail and being able to calculate custom tax payments to check the import entry. • Prepare and compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weights, and volumes for checking with import entry, and LPI. • Verifies and confirms Import entry, LPI, and customs tax payment. • Follow ups with relevant documents for customs clearing within the timeframe. • Coordinates with various divisions, for instance, import buyer, audit, shipping agent, seller, and warehouse. • Establishes work priorities, ensures procedures are followed and deadlines are met, and maintain the commitment schedule during the clearing process. • Updates the clearing step to all concerned sections. • Informs freight forwarder to register in TISI. • Calculates mask price and confirms to the freight forwarder to register in DIT. • Informs Audit to register Lor.1/1 online for importing Tasmania Beef. • Quickly identify solutions to concerned problems. > Warehouse • Corporates with the warehouse with planning and actual delivery date. • Schedules stickers affixing day to estimate PO date. • Oversee delivery conditions and reports. • Quickly identify solutions to concerned problems. > Audit, Import Buyer • Works closely to reassure that there are no non-valid certificates. • Quickly identify solutions to concerned problems. > Freight forwarder • Establish work standards and ensures that protocols are followed. > Payment • Verify, key-ins, and prepares advanced tax and monthly payment from a freight forwarder, and warehouses within the payment term base. • Prepare and maintain shipping monthly records. • Send monthly reports to the management team.
