Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - To oversee and manage end-to-end import operations (Sea, Air, Cross-border). - To ensure accuracy and completeness of import documents (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading). - To supervise customs clearance processes in compliance with regulations. - To monitor shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues. - To lead and manage the Import and Customer Service team to ensure smooth daily operations. - To analyze cost variance and implement cost-saving initiatives. - To manage key accounts and maintain strong client relationships. - To handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service recovery. - To minimize risks related to HS Code classification and declarations. - Other tasks as assigned by the Management.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience> - At least 5 years of experience in Sea Freight (FCL/LCL), Cross-Border Import, HS codes, and Incoterms in a freight forwarder - At least 2 years of experience as a supervisor or assistant manager with subordinates - Conversational to High Level in English (Communicate with Japanese Management, emails, reports, and documents) - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (reporting and analysis), e-Customs, freight systems, or ERP (e.g., SAP) <In Detail> - Strong understanding of import processes and customs clearance - Good understanding of logistics cost structure and pricing - Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking <Preferable Skill / Experience> - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or any related field - Experience in a Japanese Company
