Job Description
- Installing or upgrading SQL Servers (both OS and Database level). - Patching up the database Servers after installing to make sure that the Oracle, SQL and another Database Server is properly patched with the correct Service Pack - Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) - Test backups/Restores to ensure we can meet the Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) the database server. - Ensures the integrity of database files through the daily monitoring of database backups, logs, and transaction statistics. - To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure that the Oracle, SQL Servers, and Another Database Server have minimum downtime with no / minimum impact on business. - When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including server configuration changes, index/query changes, or hardware purchases. - Troubleshoot MSSQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends.
Job Requirement
- Age 25-30 years - Bachelor’s degree in computer Engineer, Computer Sciences or any related fields. - At least 3 years’ experience in Database Administrator for MSSQL Server, Oracle Database Server. - Advance conversation Basic-low level in English - Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server. - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems. - Knowledge of SQL Transactional, and stored procedures, indexes, index management, and statistics. - Experience with Performance Tuning, and Query Optimization. - Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, Memory, I/O, Disk space and other resource contention. - Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts. - Knowledge with backups, restores and recovery models. - Experience working with Windows Server, Linux Server and Open-source Database such as PostgreSQL.
