Job Description


<Job Responsibilities>
Customs Auditing
- Perform regular and ad hoc internal audits of customs documentation, entries, and processes.
- Ensure accurate classification, valuation, and country-of-origin declarations for imported/exported goods.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain accurate records for audit trails and support government inspections or inquiries.

Regulatory Compliance
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws, customs regulations, and tariff schedules.
- Ensure company practices align with applicable local, regional, and international customs requirements (e.g., HS Code, Incoterms, FTA utilization, etc.).
- Serve as the primary liaison with customs authorities, government agencies, and legal advisors.
- Assist in resolving any customs-related issues or penalties.

Consultation and Advisory Services
- Provide expert consultation to clients regarding customs procedures, duty optimization, trade agreements, and import/export documentation.
- Advise internal teams (sales, operations, legal, etc.) on customs implications of freight solutions and client contracts.
- Conduct training workshops for staff and clients on compliance best practices and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with key account managers to develop compliant and cost-effective supply chain strategies for clients.

Process Improvement
- Analyze customs data to identify process inefficiencies or risks.
- Recommend and implement improvements to customs processes and documentation systems.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including automation of auditing processes.

Job Requirement

<Necessary Skill / Experience >
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in customs compliance, auditing, or related roles within the freight forwarding industry.
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
- English Conversational high level (To communicate with clients, e-mail and documents) 
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs clearance procedures, and freight documentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

<Indetail>
- Bilingual or multilingual ability is a plus, especially in regions where international trade is prominent.
- Experience with trade agreements and programs (e.g., CTPAT, AEO, FTA, RCEP, etc.).
- Familiarity with digital freight platforms and electronic customs systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
