- Manage overall task for Credit Control Division by proper team formation and task allocation. Improvement of capability in terms of quality and quantity of work and talent development through coaching of department manager and instructions to all staff.
- Instruct and coach phone inspector (checker-in) and on-site Inspector (checker-out) to perform pre-screening and customer due diligence in effective and accurate ways to gain sufficient Information for credit assessment. Monitor validity of driver’s license for checker-out.
- Instruct and coach underwriter (credit analyst) to perform credit assessment according to the policy and criteria set up by the company and to analyze the credit worthiness of applicant in professional and adequate ways to make the right judgment. Verify and improve Monthly Performance Report of Credit Control.
- Instruct fraud team to perform fraud detection and AML checking complying with the relevant laws and to detect any irregularity of the suspicious application and to prevent damage and loss of the company. Verify and improve Monthly Performance Report of Fraud Team.
- Instruct NCB team members so as to perform task related to NCB inquiry according to the law and to efficiently conduct the task.
- Consider and implement plans to shorten of credit appraisal process by reducing unnecessary task, eliminating idle time, Changing operating procedures based on business process management approach.
- Coordinate with Credit Risk Planning Department to improve credit policy and criteria so as to reduce delinquent contracts and NPLs and minimize credit appraisal which violates the company rules. Participate in Credit Control Meeting and Portfolio Committee to know and understand application and asset quality trend analysis and asset performance.
- Conduct case study and get feedback from Collection Department about the problem cases so as to improve credit assessment decision and reduce early repossession and delinquency at early stage.
- Other Ad-hoc as assigned.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience>
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in Credit Risk Management/Credit Control/Credit Appraisal process, including inspection, Underwriting support, and underwriter fields from Hire Purchase, Retail Finance, Retail Banking, Leasing industries.
- At least 1 year of experience in Hire Purchase industry.
- At least current must be a Manager position for over 5 years.
- Experienced in credit assessment for collateral-based finance for individual customers.
- Experience in people management (at least more than 5 subordinates)
- Experienced of traning/coaching team(credit, underwriter)
- Good command of English for speaking, presenting, and meeting with Japanese Report Line, Japanese Committees.
<Preferable Skill / Experience>
- Project achievement/Implementation of credit planning/NPL or credit assessment.
