Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Record and verify Accounts Payable (A/P) invoices related to inventory purchases from both domestic and international suppliers, including shipping expenses. - Review Purchase Orders (PO), Goods Received Notes (GRN), and supplier invoices to ensure completeness and accuracy. - Allocate and record landed costs for imported products, such as freight, insurance, customs duties, and related expenses. - Monitor estimated landed cost variances, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions. - Maintain and update product cost data in the accounting system. - Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams to ensure cost accuracy (including sales office and factory coordination). - Prepare and analyze various reports, including cost reports, inventory movement reports, inventory aging, stock-on-hand, and gross profit (GP) reports. - Conduct cost simulations and profitability analysis to support strategic planning. - Handle month-end, year-end, and period-end closing for inventory and cost accounting, including reconciliations and stock counts. - Prepare provisions for obsolete or damaged stock and perform inventory valuation adjustments. - Control and analyze project costs as assigned. - Support external audit activities and recommend cost reduction initiatives and process improvements. - Reconcile inventory balances and control inventory release codes. - Prepare and submit intercompany transactions and reports to the group. - Control and review journal vouchers related to cost and inventory accounting. - Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience > - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (B.Acc.). - Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting in manufacturing - English conversational middle level (Communication with Japanese management, documents and e-mail) - Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems <Preferable Skill / Experience> - Lighting system manufacturing industry
