Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Lead the design and development of automotive interior and exterior components, including doors, roofs, carpets, and other vehicle accessories, based on product concepts and technical requirements provided by the parent company in Japan. - Create, review, and optimize complex 3D CAD models using Rhino, as well as 2D drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation to support product development and manufacturing requirements. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and CAD engineers, ensuring design quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards. - Evaluate design feasibility, manufacturability, cost implications, and quality requirements, and propose design improvements when necessary. - Coordinate closely with customers, the Japan headquarters, suppliers, and cross-functional teams regarding design requirements, engineering changes, and CAD data management. - Lead design reviews, engineering discussions, and problem-solving activities related to product development and vehicle integration. - Conduct design verification activities, including fitment analysis, dimensional validation, interference checks, and physical evaluations on actual vehicles. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to design processes, CAD standards, documentation control, and engineering workflow efficiency. - Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and provide regular status updates and recommendations to management. - Manage design-related activities while supervising team members and ensuring timely project completion. - Other assigned tasks
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience> - Bachelor's degree in any engineering field. - Basic English proficiency for internal communication. - At least 3 year of experience as a 3D CAD operator in any industry. - At least 1 year of experience as leader - Can use 3D CAD software systems Rhino or related systems - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Possession of a valid driving license and ability to drive; owning a car or motorcycle for commuting. - Proactive attitude and ability to take ownership of tasks. <Preferable Skill/ Experience> - Fluent/Business level of English
