Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Provide on-site repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, and preventive maintenance for machine tools, sheet metal processing machines, laser cutting machines, bending machines, machining centers, welding robots, automation systems, measuring equipment, and related industrial machinery - Receive and respond to customer service requests and investigate equipment failures on-site - Diagnose faults by reviewing error codes, alarm history, machine logs, photos, videos, and other technical information - Inspect electrical and control components, including sensors, relays, contactors, inverters, switches, and I/O devices - Replace standard electrical parts and consumables, and perform basic inspections of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems - Support manufacturer engineers during on-site repair and maintenance activities - Explain failure analysis, repair progress, and follow-up actions to Japanese customers - Coordinate technical discussions with Vietnamese customers and internal teams - Communicate with manufacturers in Japan, Vietnam, and other countries regarding technical inquiries - Prepare and organize technical information, including fault reports, photos, videos, and error logs for manufacturers - Coordinate engineer dispatch schedules, customer site access, service appointments, and replacement parts - Compile technical information required for service quotations - Prepare service reports and maintenance documentation - Provide simple progress updates in both Japanese and English - Track open service cases, response deadlines, repair history, replaced parts, root causes, and preventive actions - Report major equipment failures and long-term unresolved issues to management in a timely manner - Update service records using the company's internal system
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience> - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field - JLPT N2 or above (or equivalent) with the ability to communicate technical matters, explain service work, and prepare simple reports in Japanese - Ability to read English technical manuals and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - At least 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, machine tools, automation systems, or factory equipment - Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, with a solid understanding of electrical components, PLC I/O, and basic control circuits - Ability to perform first-level troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using standard testing equipment - Hands-on work experience in Japan, with a good understanding of Japanese work practices, reporting procedures (Hou-Ren-Sou), and experience working with Japanese customers, supervisors, or colleagues - Willingness to travel to customer sites and provide support during emergencies or outside regular working hours when required - Able to maintain accurate service records, submit reports promptly, and proactively escalate technical issues <Preferable Skill/ Experience> - Experience servicing machine tools such as laser cutting machines, punching machines, bending machines, machining centers, or NC lathes - Experience with FANUC controllers, FANUC robots, collaborative robots, or PLC programming - Experience in equipment maintenance for a Japanese manufacturing company - Experience troubleshooting PLCs, servo systems, inverters, sensors, and safety circuits - Experience in machine installation, commissioning, accuracy testing, or operator training - Experience preparing service reports in Japanese and communicating with manufacturers in English - Experience developing preventive maintenance plans, equipment records, or spare parts inventories - Valid driver's license
