Job Description
<Job Responsibilities>
You will be responsible for forklift systems products:
1. Design and develop PCB-based control units for forklift systems:
- Motor controllers
- Power management boards (DC-DC converter, Relay, Microcontroller,...)
- Lighting & safety systems
- Sensor interface boards
2. Perform circuit calculation & design:
- Current, voltage, power, thermal
- Timing, signal integrity, EMI/EMC
- Component derating calculation
- Thermal calculation for PCB & enclosures
3. Other:
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard tools (Altium Designer, Kicad, etc.)
- Generate, review, and manage Gerber files, assembly files (Pick & Place), and BOM for manufacturing
- Perform DFM/DFT reviews with manufacturing engineers
- Validate hardware design through bench testing, lab measurement, and prototype evaluation
- Interface with mechanical engineers to ensure optimal PCB integration into forklift structures (vibration, temperature, IP ratings)
- Collaborate with software/control teams to ensure interface alignment (CAN, LIN, SPI, analog/digital IO)
- Work with PCB manufacturers and EMS partners, release Gerber data and drawings for production
- Prepare technical reports, test plans, and design validation documents
- Provide technical support during pilot production and mass production.

Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience>
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Language: Japanese - Conversational Level (from JLPT N3) or English - Conversational Level (TOEIC from 500)
• Experience:
- Have 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware and PCB design for automotive or industrial products
- Hands-on experience with circuit calculation and analysis (DC/DC converters, H-bridge motor control, EMC/EMI filters, power devices)
- Strong skills in schematic capture, PCB layout, Gerber generation, and BOM management
- Strong understanding of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques and design-for-compliance
- Experience designing for automotive/industrial environments (temperature, vibration, ingress protection)
- Familiarity with CAN bus and industrial/automotive protocols
- Understanding of DFM/DFT principles
- Familiarity with Siemen NX, Teamcenter, Agile PLM, or similar data management systems
