Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Gain knowledge and comprehension of various process engineering activities encompassing a wide range of processes such as manufacturing, process control and optimization, scrap reduction, and engineering trials. - Demonstrate expertise in identifying and resolving issues associated manufacturing processes. - Contribute to establishing and monitoring process performance standards that measure quality, waste reduction, and throughput. - Provide constructive feedback for operational reviews aimed at enhancing safety, optimizing processes, and reducing costs. - Assist in conducting investigations and resolving operational non-conformances and customer-related issues. - Use the Design of Experiments (DOE) approach to facilitate data-based decision-making. - Plan and execute capital programs and process improvement activities as directed. - Support targeted projects by defining and documenting product and processing parameters, capability, cost reductions, and manufacturing. - Exhibit proficiency in evaluating, troubleshooting, and resolving process issues on the production floor. - Prepare comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes and methods in compliance with AS9100 (or equivalent) quality system. - Create and maintain manufacturing configurations, bills of materials, routers, work instructions, SPC/SQC, and control plans using best practices in manufacturing engineering. - Collaborate with Production, R&D, Quality, Expert Service, Sales, and Production Management teams to achieve the company's objectives. - Assume responsibility for safety and environmental issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment. - Be flexible and available to work outside of regular hours as needed. - Offer guidance to expert service and sales teams regarding materials selection, testing, and analysis.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience > ・Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering is compulsory ・Language: English - Business Level ・Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a process engineer/ production engineer working with composites - Knowledge of composites manufacturing technologies and equipment such as compression molding, hand layup, molds, presses, etc. - A background in Design of Experiments (DOE) is necessary, with Lean and Six Sigma methodology experience being strongly preferred. - Experience in 5S is preferred. - Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively. - Experience in technical documentation and writing scientific paper is preferred. - Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks. - Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, etc.). - Knowledge of business ERP systems is preferred (Microsoft Navision or similar) - Flexibility in working hours is required due to the global team nature of the job, with the ability to communicate effectively between teams in the USA and Asia.
