<Job Responsibilities>
• Develop and maintain material delivery schedules to meet production timelines and minimize delays.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers to discuss material quality issues, resolve problems, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
• Monitor material costs and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with product development, design, and quality control teams to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with production needs.
• Analyze material data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers to foster trust, improve delivery performance, and support innovation in materials development.
• Manage all bulk fabric coordination with Mills post-development: Greige booking, bulk lot approval, testing, and delivering KPIs “On-time delivery” and “Right—first-time” materials.
• Mitigate material & trim issues with suppliers & factories.
• Lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders for material quality/color achievability as production ramps up.
• Coordinate with the sustainability team on RSL.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience >
・Education: Bachelor’s degree or above (Materials, supply chain, or international trade background preferred)
・Language: English - Business Level
• Capable of using English in daily communication and business writing, preferably with TOEIC/IELTS or equivalent certificate
・Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in supplier management, material development, or mass production in the footwear or apparel industry
(Experience working with sports brands or Japanese companies preferred)
• Familiar with footwear material development processes, delivery schedule control, and quality assurance
• Able to independently handle supplier communication and coordination
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, proactive and problem-solving mindset, teamwork, and clear reporting, culturally adaptable to Japanese working style and multilingual environments
• Proficient in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, basic formulas) and PowerPoint for reporting and presentation
• Willing to travel domestically within Vietnam to support factories or internal departments
