Our client is an international, publicly listed group of companies with headquarters in Austria, production sites in all major markets as well as a worldwide network of sales and marketing offices. They supply the global textile and nonwovens industry with high-quality man-made cellulose fibers. The portfolio ranges from dissolving pulp, standard and specialty cellulose fibers to engineering services.
Marketing and Business Development Manager – Nonwoven Fibers (Japanese Speaking)
Job Responsibilities:
•Identify customers’ needs and how the products can be developed to meet these needs
•Analyze the competitive landscape and keep up to date on trends/changes within the industry.
•Maintain strong customer relationships with key influencers throughout the value chain (from non-woven material-manufacturer to the brand with the end customer in mind).
•Develop new BD opportunities and ensure continuous update of plans.
•Provide regional marketing-support in the business segments of NW including trade show and event activities, promotion, pre- and after sales activities.
•Manage the supply chain; contract with end customers and brands.
•Be prepared to take on global lead roles in management of projects
Job Requirements:
•University degree preferably Business Administration with focus on marketing or Textile engineering
•Strong technical background with several years of experience in marketing, BD or innovation in the NW or fiber industry.
•Good command in English and Japanese (both spoken and written), additional language beneficial but not mandatory (e.g. Chinese, Korean)
•Multicultural sensitivity, enthusiasm, effective communication and negotiation skills
•Knowledge of relevant production, processing technologies and end use applications of NW fiber.
•Proven experience working in a matrix organization.
•Able to travel overseas to external customers and inter-company site visit (regular travels to Japan and Korea)
•Knowledge and experience in chemicals or health care products will also be relevant
