<Job Responsibilities> 1. Structural Calculations and Design: - Perform structural calculations (allowable stress design) for wooden houses based on Japan's Building Standards Act. - Create structural drawings (floor plans, framing diagrams) and hardware placement diagrams using specialized software. 2. Technical Support: - Respond to technical inquiries from clients (Japanese construction companies and design firms). - Revise and address structural issues raised by authorities during building confirmation applications. 1. 構造計算・設計: ・日本の建築基準法に基づく木造住宅の構造計算(許容応力度計算)の実施。 ・専用ソフトを用いた構造図(伏図、軸組図)、金物配置図の作成。 2. 技術サポート: ・クライアント(日本の工務店・設計事務所)からの技術的な質疑への回答。 ・建築確認申請における行政からの構造指摘事項への修正・対応。
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience > ・Education: Vocational school or college graduate or higher (preferably majoring in architecture or engineering) ・Age & Gender: Any ・Language: Japanese Business Level and English Conversational (can understand technical terminology and can communicate fluently) ・Experience: - Have 5+ years of practical experience in timber structural design in the construction industry, adhering to Japanese design standards - Basic skills to lead a team as a future leader candidate, not just general staff experience. ・Other Skills: Advanced proficiency in specialized CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) relevant to the applied position ・Basic PC Skills: Document creation and reporting using Office tools <Preferable Skill / Experience> ・Working experience at a Japanese company, or direct communication/review experience with Japanese counterparts ・Practical experience in design and modeling using BIM (Revit, etc.) ・Experience using specific advanced analysis tools (e.g., structural calculation software) for timber structure design or plant design ・Experience in nurturing junior members or establishing QA (Quality Assurance) processes <Preferable Personality> ・Growth Mindset: Aspires to become a “highly skilled engineer” capable of designing proposals and consulting, not just a “drafting operator.” ・Sense of Responsibility: Maintains an 80% operational rate and takes strong responsibility for deadlines and quality (Japanese quality standards) ・Flexibility: Willingness to proactively engage in standardizing operations and building processes at a new, start-up location ・Leadership: Ability to serve as a role model for junior staff and inspire the team as we expand to a 50-person organization
