Job Description

Resposibilities :
1. Maintains effective line of communication with the hiring manager at all times and executes daily sales calls activities in accordance with account potential.
2. Develop list of prospective customers by establishing account plans for key customers.
3. Make calls on regular customers on a periodic basis, informing them of new products and product applications.
4. Analyze competitive trends and strategies and the impact of new products marketed by competitors. Reports Conclusions to the hiring manager.
5 Collaborate with the Channel Manager in obtaining leads on new customers and in making customer contacts.
6. Conveys and explains company policies and procedures to all customers and prospects in a positive and constructive manner. Makes recommendations to management on ways to improve sales productivity and effectiveness.
7. Develops an annual territory sales plan keyed to customers and driven by the sales and marketing plans that are to be accomplished.
8. Participates in trade and professional associations to keep up to date on new developments.
9. Educates and informs customers and prospects of new products and programs through personal contact with customer personnel and Purchasing, Engineering, Research and Development, Quality Control and Production.
Will also co-ordinate special engineering and management or marketing presentations and distribute flyers and Reports or other printed materials. Provides product training to the distributor at sales meetings and provides for product demand through sales development calls.
10. Provides assistance and guidance to all distributors to maintain sufficient inventory or product to provide proper balance and depth and turns of the inventory.
11. Increases the sales volume at select accounts with sales promotions and attendance at trade shows and local shows and by active follow through on referrals.
12. Experience of successfully operating in a matrix environment. Experience of working with cross functional teams including Marketing, Product Development and Finance.
13. Experience of developing and improving sales team performance via a variety of sales leadership methodologies including account plan reviews, sales skill coaching and team objectives.
14. Makes recommendations to management on more innovative approaches to sales meetings and seminars.
15. Recommends market and product changes and revisions based on potential available in the territory and developing trends.
16. Operates within all prescribed policies, procedures and expense budgets while maintaining a strong image of Professionalism in all activities.
17. Proven track record within a Sales role in a market relevant to the Belden organization.
18. Proven track record within a sales leadership role – experience should include sustained sales growth in existing & new business, strategic management of pricing, key / large accounts, end user selling, growing existing customer accounts and developing new accounts across a region.

Requirements :
Requirement for this position is a Bachelor degree with at least 12+ years of experience in Design and installation of Structured Cable System and Signal Transmission Products and System.
Good working knowledge and experience of audio, video and broadcast connectivity and cabling systems from major vendors are also essential. Knowledge and familiarity with major networking equipment and enterprise wireless solutions provider will be a strong advantage.

Desirable Experiences :
To provide complete sales and marketing services to all customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory in accordance with sound business principles and specific sales and marketing policies. Also, to secure sufficient sales volume to meet or exceed established sales budgets as specified in the profit plan, and accomplish other sales and marketing objectives.

Desirable Character :
The candidate must be highly self-motivated with a proven track record in area/vertical sales and possesses excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
