Position Information
Job Title: Manager / Sr Manager
Department: R&D
Reports To: GM R&D
Section: NTMC & SPMS
Work Description & performance Plan
Summary of Job Profile/ Purpose of the position:
1. To carry out the design related activities of Appliance Motor
2. Co-ordinate with Sales for new customer enquiries
3. Co-ordinate with Global R&D centers for designing, testing and VAVE topics
4. Support operations for appliance motor technical topics
5. Develop Local suppliers for components
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Well versed with the motor design concepts & electrical theories.
2. RFQ study and arrange requisite inputs from customer. Understand end uses and help customer for product selection
3. Understand Electrical testing of motor and Appliances
4. Must have understanding of motor level validations & Component level validation
5. Provide the design related support for Purchase/Supplier development. Should be able to develop local supplier
6. To coordinate with global team members timely to resolve the design related topics. Make specifications and design documents
7. To prepare proto samples as per requirements. Test and validate the design
8. Motor samples assembly & co-ordination with production.
9. DFMEA, APQP preparation
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to successfully perform the job:
Knowledge: Knowledge on GD&T & tolerance stack up analysis.
Basic knowledge of brushless motor. Understand motor structure and design rules. Should have good knowledge about materials (metal, plastics, rubber and aluminium). Should be able to do DFMEA and specification definition for motors and parts
Must have thorough understanding of motor design aspects. Thorough knowledge of APQP. Should have understanding about appliances and application of motor
Skills:
1. Communication skills should be good English spoken and written
2. Team handling
3. Project planning and execution. Should be able to define bottlenecks
Abilities:
1. Capable of working a part of integrated global team
