Job Description

Our client, A Chinese Banking group, is now looking an experienced candidate to join their expanding team:

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of professionals to formulate, review and update credit policies, procedures, guidelines and underwriting standards in support of the overall business and risk management needs.

•Manage / monitor / report risk limits for complying with internal/regulatory requirements.

•Ensure timely production of regular and adhoc credit-related reports for Management and the Head Office.

•Drive the stress testing process on credit risk exposures and coordinate the overall stress-testing process with relevant units.

•Drive the implementation of credit risk related modules within the overall Basel plan as endorsed by the Bank’s senior management.

•Drive/participate in system enhancements, regular/ad hoc reporting and special projects from the credit risk management angle.

•Drive the commercial scorecards development, calibration, validation, testing and implementation process.

• Liaise with Internal Control, Regional Audit and regulatory bodies on relevant audits/examinations and coordinate the relevant responses on findings for Credit Risk Management where appropriate.

•Support and assist in the assessment of new treasury and /or derivative products.

•Assist in projects in relation to the assignment of risk factors or collateral hair cut for credit products subject to market risks.

Requirements

•University Degree in Business Administration or related disciplines.

•Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience in banking industry with no less than 5 years at managerial level.

•In-depth knowledge of lending principles/credit process and a keen awareness of credit issues.

•Excellent knowledge of general banking products, including trade finance, mortgage and treasury products.

•Knowledge of Basel II and front-line marketing experience is preferred.

•Strong communication, negotiation and people management skills

•Proficient in written English, and preferably also well-versed in Chinese.
