Job Detail

1. Maintain and develop core insurance system (COBOL language)
- Run periodically closing batch jobs to update core insurance data and reports;
- Periodically extract data and reports from the insurance system to support data analysis, synthesize reports for business departments, management team, and/or any other ad-hoc requests;
- Communicate with end-users, analyze users’ request and provide solutions;
- Receive requests to develop and upgrade functions for the insurance system from the business related departments. Analyze, evaluate, clarify requirements with end users before planning project implementation, check partial and full results before, during and after User Acceptance Testing (UAT) confirmation before promote program to the production environment. Manage and work directly with outsourced consultants on related insurance projects;
- Explore and operate core insurance application;
- Production issues support;
- Enhance, develop new functions basing on business requirements.

2. Join in IT projects to support the Company business;

3. IT help desk, troubleshoot on core insurance system;

4. Other tasks as assigned by line manager and/ or required by the job.

- Education: University
- Experience & Qualification:
+ Above 2 years in SMART/400 COBOL developer and XML, SQL are a must
+ RPG, P/400 system are advantage
+ General insurance knowledge is a plus
- Foreign language: Fluency in Speaking and Writing English
- Computer skill: Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Characteristics: Good analytical, Proactive thinking, Adaptability, Eagerness to learn new things
