Job Description
<Job Responsibilities> - Manage and oversee end-to-end Ocean Freight Export and Import operations to ensure smooth and efficient shipment handling. - Lead, supervise, and develop the Ocean Operations team to achieve operational excellence and service quality targets. - Monitor daily operational activities and ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and industry regulations. - Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas agents, customs brokers, trucking vendors, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure timely cargo movement. - Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing effective solutions and handling operational issues, escalations, and service inquiries. - Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and SOPs to improve efficiency, productivity, and service performance. - Monitor operational KPIs and prepare reports on team performance, shipment status, and operational improvements. - Identify operational risks and proactively implement corrective and preventive actions. - Support business growth by collaborating with the sales and customer service teams to provide operational expertise and solutions. - Manage stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication with customers, partners, and internal teams. - Ensure proper utilization of operational systems, including CargoWise and other logistics management tools. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and customer experience. - Other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirement
<Necessary Skill / Experience> - At least a Bachelor's degree from any major. - Business-level proficiency in English. - Minimum 6-7 years of experience in a freight forwarding company and minimum 3-4 years of managerial experience. - Strong knowledge of Ocean Freight Export & Import operations - Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work under pressure. - Familiarity with CargoWise logistics management tool is preferred
