Job Description
- Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling foundry operations, including melting, molding, core making, pouring, heat treatment, and finishing processes. - Ensure castings process meet quality, dimensional, and metallurgical requirements according to specifications and standards. - Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery in coordination with PPIC and production teams. - Supervise foundry staff, including shift allocation, work instructions, performance monitoring, and skill development. - Support implementation and compliance with safety, health, and environmental (HSE) regulations in the foundry area. - Assist in analyzing casting defects (e.g., porosity, shrinkage, misruns) and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve yield and reduce scrap. - Coordinate with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve production and quality issues. - Support cost control initiatives, including raw material usage, energy consumption, and process efficiency. - Participate in continuous improvement, kaizen, and standardization activities. - Prepare and review production, quality, and operational reports for management. - Other tasks as assigned
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields - Business level of English - Have 3 years as assistant manager/supervisory role and 7 years of experience in foundry operation in Japanese manufacture - Understanding of metallurgy related to cast iron, ductile iron, or stainless steel commonly used in water pump components and understand of foundry processes (melting, casting, molding, heat treatment) - Have ISO 9001 and proficient in Microsoft Office - Strong leadership and team management skills, good problem-solving, and analytical abilities
