Job Description

- Assist the Workshop Division Head in managing overall workshop operations for heavy equipment, logging trucks, and operational vehicles
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance programs
- Plan, prepare, monitor, and control the annual maintenance budget for internal machinery and workshop operations to ensure cost efficiency
- Analyze maintenance costs, equipment life cycle costs, and recommend cost optimization initiatives
- Monitor fleet availability, equipment utilization, reliability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
- Ensure high equipment availability to support forestry harvesting and transportation operations
- Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to minimize equipment downtime
- Supervise warehouse spare parts management, inventory control, stock optimization, and procurement planning
- Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Finance, and other departments to ensure timely maintenance support
- Analyze equipment failures and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement programs
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE regulations, and maintenance standards
- Develop maintenance KPIs, prepare management reports, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management
- Lead, coach, and develop workshop managers, supervisors, engineers, planners, and technicians
- Support capital expenditure planning for workshop equipment replacement and investment projects
- Drive digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives in workshop management systems
- Other tasks as assigned

Job Requirement

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Heavy Equipment Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- Business level of English
- At least 5 years of experience as a Workshop Manager within forestry, mining, heavy equipment, construction, plantation, or similar industries
- Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance systems
- Extensive experience maintaining heavy equipment including Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Logging Trucks, and Light Vehicles
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmission systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and undercarriage components
- Solid knowledge of fleet availability, equipment reliability, MTBF, MTTR, and equipment utilization
- Experience managing spare parts warehouse, inventory control, procurement planning, and maintenance budgeting
- Strong financial and analytical skills with experience in maintenance cost planning and budget control
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing large maintenance teams
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/CMMS systems
- Willing to work in remote site locations
