Job Description
1. Responsible for accurate and timely monthly financial reporting and analysis in accordance with company group accounting policies.
2. Review of financial processes and establishes/updates written procedures for all major finance and accounting activities.
3. Lead the accounting team and make sure all team members have job allocation to fit their skills and ensure growth opportunities to keep all team members motivated and satisfied.
4. Participates in reviewing contracts with business partners to ensure that no adverse financial terms are included in the contracts.
5. Support the stores in any financial transactions and communication with the bank.
6. Manages the company’s cash flows by keeping up to date long-term forecasts and comparing expected cash requirements with expected cash position.
7. Responsible for monthly purchase reconciliations with vendors and reviews vendors’ invoices/expense requests, supporting documents and ensures correctness of taxes to be withheld before processing for payment.
8. Prepares the monthly calculation of cost of goods sold
9. Prepare accounts receivable reconciliation and ensures proper follow-up is taken with banks to ensure correct settlement of sales transactions.
10. Prepare accounts payable reconciliation and investigate if any positive balance and over due payment
11. Reviews monthly bank reconciliation and petty cash count results.
12. Makes sure intercompany transactions are properly recharged and balances are agreed with the counterparties.
13. Reviews the need to capitalize fixed assets and ensures proper listing of assets is maintained.
14. Prepares quarterly consolidation report to both of the shareholders.
15. Prepares annual statutory financial statements and is the key contact point with the auditors.
16. Guides and monitors the performance of external consultants and ensure good banking relationships.
17. Participates in determining the guidelines for financial risk management to protect the company from adverse impacts of for example foreign currency transactions.
