Job Description

- Oversee all activities in raw materials (mainly food items ) purchasing activities planning and implementation, namely budgeting, materials sourcing, price and terms negotiation, test arrangement, vendors assessment and all related logistics of different categories.
- Prepare and control expenses within annual purchasing budget for all materials by implementing price review programs focused on key raw materials.
- Take part in R&D in cost reduction issue by presenting cost analysis and purchase reports on key commodities on a monthly or quarterly or ad hoc basis.
- Investigate and solve problems arising from purchased materials within a reasonable time frame and by the feasible method.
- Lead significant negotiation with suppliers of key materials as per corporate requirements and constraints in group basis for optimization in price, quality and payment terms.
- Work closely with internal interfaces in sourcing and qualifying new materials and new vendors.
- Review existing purchasing procedures and related documents for improving processes efficiency and effectiveness.
- Aware proactively of regulations, international trade compliance related to corporate purchasing issues.
- Monitor daily operation of OEM suppliers and solve problems at ad hoc basis.
- Occasional business trip to factories in China for inspection

Job Requirement

- Diploma or above in food/purchasing related disciplines.
-  5 years of relevant experience of which at least 2 years at managerial level. Experience in china sourcing market and food industry is preferred.
- Experience in leading a team is a must
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English, Chinese and Mandarin. Conversational level in Japanese is needed.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word & PowerPoint). Familiar with ERP system operation such as NAVISION for data analysis and report preparations.
-  Analytical, detail-oriented and sensitive in figures & commodities' price movement with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
-  Knowledge in food regulations and ISO series is an advantage.
- Candidate with less experience can be considered as Manager.
