Senior Chemist – Food

Company Overview
Our client, a famous food company, is looking for a [Senior Chemist – Food] as followings:

Job Description
• Develop and setup 8 relevant tests of “Nutrient Label” testing
• Develop various chemical tests to enhance laboratory’s capability
• Be responsible for the quality of work produced by the laboratory and to ensure the quality management system is in compliance to ISO 17025 standard
• Be responsible for equipment maintenance and calibration(ICP-MS, GC-MS,GC-FID,UPLC-RI/DAD, etc)
• Assist routine operation (Heavy metals, pesticides and sulphur dioxide analysis, etc)
• Maintain and improve laboratory housekeeping
• Handle Ad hoc issue
• Occasionally work on holidays (5-day work per week)
• Business trip is required

Requirements
• M.phil or above in Chemistry / Chemical Technology or related studies
• phD Degree with minimun 1 year soild experience to work in commercial laboratory is preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in chemical laboratory testing, with knowledge in HOKLAS(Accredited Food Testing) is a must
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in R&D chemical laboratory testing
• Relevant working experience in nutrient label testing is an advantage
• With hand on experiences in operating and performing maintenance for instruments: GC/UPLC/ICP
• Self-motivated , fast learner and willing to work overtime
• Strong team player and communicator;
• Disciplinary, punctual.
