Job Description

Our client is a multi-channel ecommerce, end-to-end solutions provider which was founded in Manchester in 1997, formed by a group of software developers and technicians. The company processes over 50,000 transactions per month, delivering products to customers in over 115 countries for over 20 global brands. The group undertakes operations in 16 languages and has regional offices in the UK, France, Romania, USA, and Hong Kong.
 
In 2010, our client acquired a multi-channel eCommerce software and marketing specialist. The group lists Vodafone, Orange, France Telecom, Telenor, HTC, Parrot and Google amongst its customers.
 
The Service Manager - Asia will report directly to the SVP – Global Partners and will work closely with support divisions and the Asia operations team.
 
Background/Rationale
 
Due to outstanding successes in Europe and as a result of our fast growth, our client is looking for a Service Manager - Asia to run our diagnostic, refurbishment and repair facility based in Hong Kong. The Service Manager - Asia will be responsible for all output from the Service Centre and will be required to keep up to date with changes in smartphone and FMCG product manufacture and repair processes.
 
Reporting into the SVP - Partners, you will work closely with our Asia Operations team to provide end-to-end product collection, repair and delivery services to consumers and businesses across all of Asia. You will have a strong understanding of smartphone repair and servicing, as well as experience in wider the FMCG or Utilities/Telecommunications sector.
 
You will be required to perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, fault finding, L1, L2 & L3 Repairs for telecommunication handsets base on the standards given by LG, Asus, Sony, Nokia and Samsung devices.
 
You will be required to manage multiple repair technicians and engineers and be able to keep the highest standards of quality throughout the operation.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversea the receipt, diagnose, repair, refurbishment, upgrade and or disposal of cellular mobile telecommunications handsets.
  • Manage a team of up to 8 technicians and engineers
  • Prepare an estimation cost of repair and give a feedback to operations team
  • Carry out all repair procedures in line with Quality and Environmental guidelines.
  • Ensuring the quality is always implemented and maintained throughout the repair cycle – champion brand values at all time.
  • Responsible for the correct and regular ( daily ) entry of all information pertaining to each repair
  • Define and drive the Service Centre objectives at all times ensuring all key performance indicators and targets are achieved.
  • Ensure software versions are updated and monitored for changed at all times.
  • Maintain equipment calibration on annual basis or when instructed to do so.
  • Maintain a professional approach at all times.
  • Maintain a 100% data cleansing record where appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service centre at all times.
  • Uphold policy in relation to security and misuse of company property.
  • Responsibilities to undertake any other duties that are relevant to the job as requested by the SVP – Global Partners.
Qualifications:
  • Significant service centre management experience
  • Deep Knowledge of repair processes, costs and standards
  •  Perform diagnosis, troubleshooting, fault finding, L1, L2 & L3 Repairs for telecommunication handsets base on the standards given by LG, Asus, Sony, Nokia and Samsung devices.
  • Strong CV showing consistent career progression and committed job performance
  • Track record of over-achieving targets (top 10-20% of company) in past positions
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment and work flexible hours as required
  • Fluent English language skills required, other Asian languages advantageous
  • Strong computer skills, including Salesforce.com, Google Docs and Excel
